This haunt has something for everyone. This is a large walk-through yard haunt on a corner lot that has many different scenes. It includes: a Butcher Shop, Cemetery, Walk-through Circus Tent with lots of clowns, Skeletons climbing a tree, Hearse in the driveway, Insane asylum, Field of Screams-pumpkin patch and walk through and more. There is a lot to see here. Great use of pneumatic, electric and static props and a lot of detail everywhere. Not even sure, but the Insane asylum guy sounded like a real gas motor was used, very impressive. They had Michael Meyers walking around the haunt on a weekday. Very cool! Even though I know they have more actors on the weekends. Highly recommended!

This is a family friendly haunt that has only been around 5 years, but looks like they have been doing this for 20 years. They have invested a lot of time, money and creativeness into this display. This is a very large display of classic Halloween props, pumpkins, hay, picture spots, spiders, many large characters and large scale props. The spider webs on the house and roof and large spiders are over the top, literally! There are so many things to look at here. The have many projected images that are used in so many creative ways: up in the trees, snakes on the driveway, 3D projected singing ghosts and more! They have a great garage walkthrough that they change the theme to every year. It’s always great! They have a lot of interactive stuff and tons to look at. We came on a week night so we missed out, but sometimes they have live actors. Highly recommended!

This is truly a great hidden haunt that you should visit. First off, it is a family friendly haunt with 2 main areas: A pumpkin patch area and a cemetery area. The detail and workmanship here is amazing. First the pumpkin patch, It looks like you are in a pumpkin patch or field with pumpkins, includes a small wooden fence, pumpkins, hay and cornstalks. It has many moving parts to it and looks great. Now, the cemetery. I can say this is not an over the top crazy packed display. What it is though is handmade, custom made, detailed props that not only look amazing, but move in amazing ways. The cemetery is filled with many skeletons and ghosts that are all custom and honestly are some of the best I’ve ever seen in all my years. I can say one of their newest props, the standing skeleton that moves side to side, reverses directions, has many different movements and that has eyes that change color is a movie quality prop. Seriously the best I’ve seen! There are other parts of the haunt like a flying grim reaper and vortex tunnel video screen that are very cool and unique too. If you love seeing quality, art, detail, creativity in Halloween props, this is the place to visit. I could have spent hours there looking at the detail and prop movements. This is a must see if you love seeing what a true haunt builder can do!

Halloween Town is a great family friendly haunt in the northwest suburbs ran by one of the founding members of Chicago Haunt Builders. There is a lot to see here and includes many characters from Nightmare Before Christmas, a walk-through cemetery with zombies, skeletons, coffins and more. They are using pneumatic, electric and static props (some 12’ guys too) and have incorporated a singing pumpkin patch, video projections and more. There are some good scares, a snake that pops out of the bushes and some pop ups. Lots of detail including: custom made tombstones, Cemetery archway, bats, skeletons, fog, music and more. A true haunt builder as there are many custom props both moving and static. If you love the Nightmare before Christmas, this is a must see haunt.

A small static haunt but with great detail. A pretty cool pirate display with a lot of details. I really liked the lights they put in their skull archway. Makes a big difference in the look. Very nice static haunt. The pirate ship has a moving steering wheel, which is pretty cool. Worth a look!

This is a family friendly walk-through haunt with lots of animatronics. It’s a pretty cool, twisting walk-through with some pop-ups and scares. They have some live actors at times but we didn’t see them because we came during the day. I’m sure this is way better at night Worth a look.

CarnEvil is not only a great haunt, but they also have two neighbors houses all attached through a three house walk-through. Lots of custom-made props, many moving props, lots to see. They also had a walk-through haunt within their yard walk-through. Very cool! A lot of time went into their props, and the collaboration of all three haunts. Well worth the drive. Highly recommended!

Mostly static props or all static. We visited during the day, so we are not 100% sure if anything moves. They look to be mostly homemade unique props, which is pretty cool. They had a very cool picture spot that looks like a witch on burning stake, which looks to have lighting and fog at night. Worth a visit.

A very cool walk-through haunt with corn stalks, a twisting and turning path with good animatronics and static props. It includes some pop-up scares as well. Definitely worth a look!
